Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases for the 2nd Half of 2022

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post is later than when I normally post, but I didn’t have time yesterday, so I finished it this morning. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. The last time I did a TTT was in March. But I always like doing anticipated releases posts, so I thought I’d participate in this one. I have a lot of books I’m looking forward to releasing in the next few months.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Most Anticipated Releases for the 2nd Half of 2022.

Long Story Short by Serena Kaylor|YA Contemporary Romance|Release Date: July 26, 2022
I first found about this from Ritz @ Living, Loving and Reading’s review and immediately added it to my TBR. It sounds like a fun read and while I don’t normally read romance, it sounds like something I’d enjoy.

Dauntless by Elisa A. Bonnin|YA Fantasy|Release Date: August 2, 2022
This sounds like it will be full of strong female protagonists, which I’m always happy to read about. I also appreciate anything with Asian representation in it!

The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean|Adult Fantasy|Release Date: August 2, 2022
This book sounds amazing. The book aspect pulled me in initially and it just sounds like such a cool concept. It’s got a lot of positive reviews so I have high hopes for it!

The First Binding (Tales of Tremaine #1) by R.R. Virdi|Adult Fantasy|Release Date: August 16, 2022
More Asian rep! This book sounds so interesting; the synopsis is intriguing. I am a little intimidated by its size though. It’s 830 pages which is a lot.

Babel by R.F. Kuang|Adult Historical Fantasy|Release Date: August 23, 2022
After reading The Poppy War Trilogy, I will now read whatever R.F. Kuang writes. A dark academia historical fiction seems absolutely amazing.

The Sunbearer Trials (The Sunbearer Duology #1) by Aiden Thomas|YA Fantasy|Release Date: September 6, 2022
Percy Jackson meets the Hunger Games?! Yes, please! I never read the Hunger Games but PJO is my childhood, so I have a feeling this will be good.

Foul Lady Fortune (Foul Lady Fortune #1) by Chloe Gong|YA Historical Fantasy|Release Date: September 27, 2022
I was so excited when I found out that Chloe Gong was writing this! I didn’t want to leave the world of 1900s Shanghai and now I don’t have to.

A Scatter of Light by Malinda Lo|YA Contemporary|Release Date: October 4, 2022
Last Night at the Telegraph Club was an awesome read and I’m excited to read this companion sequel to it. Also, the cover of this is beautiful.

Seasparrow (Graceling Realm #5) by Kristin Cashore|YA Fantasy|Release Date: November 1, 2022
The Graceling Realm Series has stuck with me for the past two years. I read Winterkeep at the beginning of 2021 and only just found out that a fifth (and final) book was being released. I’m really excited that this will be told from the perspective of Hava!

A Wilderness of Stars by Shea Ernshaw|YA Fantasy|Release Date: November 29, 2022
As someone who’s fascinated by space, this book sounds so cool! I have another one of Shea Ernshaw’s books on my TBR, The Wicked Deep, so I’m hoping to get to at least one of her books this year.

Are you looking forward to any of these books?
What are some anticipated releases you’re waiting for?
