Photography Dump | chicago, nature, and skies

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Over the past year, I’ve taken a lot of photos, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you. This post doesn’t have any particular theme–it’s just a collection of photos I like, under three different categories. These first three are from the music trip I took last year to Chicago. We went to the Navy Pier–where I took the Ferris wheel photo–and the Bean. It was cold the day we went to Navy Pier, but the Ferris wheel was a lot of fun to go on; the view from it was amazing. It was so cool to be under…

Photos From the Past Few Months

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am finally on Thanksgiving break, which I am very grateful for. It feels like my teachers crammed us with work before the break; I had three separate essays to work on in the past week. It was a lot. I haven’t shared any photography in a few months, but I’ve been doing a lot of it. I’m taking a photography class for an elective this year and it’s been fun! I’m learning how to use my camera, the aspects of photography, and proper technique. Anyways, today I’ll be sharing some photos I’ve taken in the past few months/year. (One of them…

A Week in the Sierra Nevada

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m sharing photos I took from my trip to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This past week, I spent camping with my mom, aunt, and uncle. We had a lot of fun, despite a few mishaps. Let’s get into it! FRIDAY Our first day was a bit of a mess. My mom and I drove up to our campground, which was just inside Yosemite. We had never been to this campground before–the one we usually stay at was under renovation. We had the smallest site in the whole campground and my aunt and uncle still had to come up too. It wouldn’t…

Camping in Anza-Borrego | another trip to the desert

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Last year around this time I made a photography post on my trip to Death Valley that I took during spring break. And this year, I went back to the desert for my spring break, to Anza-Borrego. I took a lot of photos that I thought would be fun to share with you all. We got to our campsite in the afternoon and met with my aunt and uncle who had come up the day before. It was much hotter there than it was back home which took a little getting used to. One of my favorite things to take pictures of…

Flowers of Spring | it’s way too early for them to be blooming

Wow, can you believe it? Another photography post that’s actually in the next month. I surprised myself too. I went on a hike yesterday and took a bunch of photos of the flowers that I saw. Spring has come way too early. Most of these flowers are supposed to bloom in March and April, and yet here we are, in February. I identified all of the ones I got photos of, so their name will be captioned underneath each image. In case any of you are wondering, all of these photos were taken on my phone, a very old, Samsung Galaxy S8. I hope you enjoyed all these photos! I…

    A Hike to the Falls

I was planning to have photography be a monthly thing, but seeing that my last photography post was in April 2021, that clearly didn’t happen. I just didn’t go to many places that I deemed picture-taking worthy. Or I forgot to bring something to take pictures with. Anyhow, I finally have some pictures to share! I went on a hike with my mom and a friend of ours to see the waterfalls during winter break. It was a great day to go hiking because it was cool out so we didn’t get tired from the heat. The only slight problem was that it had rained earlier in the week, so…

    My Trip to Death Valley

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re doing well. Today I have another photography post. I recently went camping in Death Valley and I got some really cool pictures that I thought I’d share with you. Let me tell you, camping in Death Valley is so hot! It got to 100 degrees Fahrenheit at one point. But I still had a good time. This first series of photos is the view we had from our campsite. Some of these were taken at sunrise, most of them actually. During the day, we tried to hike when it was least hot, but it was hard; it started getting really hot at about 8 o’clock…

    A Day by the Ocean

Hey, everyone! I have another photography post today. I went to the ocean side a few months ago and I took some pictures that I thought I would share with you. I had a really nice time visiting the ocean with my family. It was a nice spring day, though it was slightly cold because we were on the Northern coast. What do you think of these pictures? Which one is your favorite? Chat with me in the comments below!

    Botanical Garden Flowers

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be showing some pictures that I took a while ago when I went to a botanical garden with my family. I don’t know the names of all of them, but they’re all different varieties of dahlias. One of my favorite things about these flowers are all the vibrant colors and how there are so many different types in one family. WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE PICTURES? WHICH ONE WAS YOUR FAVORITE?
