August Wrap-Up | School Starts and my Reading Plummets

This year just keeps flying by! We’re through eight months and I’m already in my fourth week of school. It’s been a bit difficult to adjust back to school, especially since I have to wake up at 6 am. We’ve only been learning for about two weeks (our first week was a lot of ‘get to know you’ things and simple stuff), but I’ve already had a few quizzes. I mean, it is junior year, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. BOOKS READ Well, that number went down. In my defense, I went to summer camp at the beginning of August for five days and had literally no time to…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Balancing Blogging and Life

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a busy few weeks, adjusting back to school and the workload for homework. I thought today’s LTB topic was a perfect one, especially at this time of the year when school is starting up again. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Balancing Blogging and Life (suggested by Aria). How do you manage balancing blogging and life? To be honest, I’m not really sure. School comes first, so I always do my homework before working on a…

Review: We Were Dreamers by Simu Liu

Wow, a review! Haven’t seen one of those in a while, have we? I am hopefully going to change that, starting with the book I most recently finished: We Were Dreamers. I’ve been wanting to read this for a while and I finally got the chance to. I am happy to say this book did not disappoint. Bookish Merchandise I Own and Merch I Want

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I was looking at bookish merchandise the other day (because who doesn’t want that?) and it got me thinking that I could do a post on it. So, today I will be sharing the bookish merch that I have and some that I want to have. I’m linking where you can buy these for most of the products. I don’t know where some of them are from (they were gifts) so I won’t be able to link those. Merch I Own The Lightning Thief necklace I’m pretty sure this was given to me either for a birthday or Christmas. This kind of…

The Racing to Read Book Tag

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a little while since I’ve done a tag I was actually tagged for, not just one I did because it looked fun. Today I am doing the Racing to Read Book Tag. Thank you to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for tagging me! This tag was originally created and done in 2020 for a readathon. It was created by Ariel Bissett and Raeleen Lamay. You can also find them on their podcast: Books Unbound. Warm-Up: a book that stretches your mind A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (AGGGTM #1) by Holly Jackson My mind was definitely stretched while reading this book.…

    Let’s Talk Bookish: Reviewing Books

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I have a discussion on reviewing books. I haven’t posted a review in over a month, which I really should fix. Maybe this discussion will spark my brain to write more reviews. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Reviewing Books (suggested by Rachel @ A Bookworm’s Paradise). Prompts: What makes you want to review or not review a book? Do you review every book you read? Are some books harder to review than others? Do you review books…

    July 2022 Camp NaNoWriMo Wrap-Up

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a wild few days. I got back from summer camp on Friday and spent the weekend adjusting to being back at home. I’ve been in a bit of a post-camp slump; coming back home after camp is a bit sad. Camp is this whole world where time works differently and then it’s all over. Anyways, today I’m sharing a wrap-up for July Camp NaNoWriMo which I participated in last month. How the month went Overall, the month went really well. I worked on draft 4 of OMaM and made a lot of progress. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the…
