Wrap-Ups

February Wrap-Up and March Goals

Hello everyone! Can you believe that we’re already two months into 2021? I can’t. A lot has happened this month, so here’s my wrap-up for February.

Winterkeep by Kristin Cashore ~ ★★★.5 ~ My Review
Winterkeep was a really exciting book. I loved the new characters that were introduced, as well as Torla, the new continent that is discovered.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman ~ ★★★ ~ My Review
Reading The Princess Bride was so fun. After seeing the movie so many times, I enjoyed reading about the scenes and finding out even more. It was a great action, adventure packed love story.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon ~ ★★.5 ~ My Review
I liked this book enough, though it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. I still enjoyed the storyline and the book was very entertaining.

Wizard’s Hall by Jane Yolen ~ ★★
Wizard’s Hall was okay. There were some things about the book that I just didn’t like, but it was still an okay book.

Millicent Min, Girl Genius by Lisa Yee ~ ★★.5
This was a story aimed at younger kids, so I didn’t particularly get attached to it, but it’s diverse and the storyline was good nonetheless.

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz ~ ★★★★
Stormbreaker was one of the only thriller books I’ve read and it was really good. I’ve started watching the Alex Rider TV show as well and it’s really good as well.

Night by Elie Wiesel ~ ★★★★★
I read Night for English class in school, but I decided to add it in here still. It was a really good book; however it was quite sad and disturbing.

I’m almost done with Across the Universe, so I’m reading a lot of it in March, but I still counted it. I’d like to finish the series, and I ordered the books but they’re arriving in the next two weeks, so I’ll have to wait for them.

While I’m waiting for the other books in the Across the Universe series, I thought I’d read Opposite of Always. My friend recommended it to me and it sounds like a really interesting book, so I thought I’d try it.

I’ve seen Emma Lord’s books being mentioned on a lot of blogs lately, so I look up You Have a Match. The story sounds like it would be a really fun read.

In March, I’d like to post roughly the same as I did in February. I’m not going to outline how many I want to do, since my life’s a little crazy right now. I’m probably going to end up doing less, but we’ll see.

I didn’t get a lot of writing done this month, but I did make a pitch for my story. NaNoWriMo YWP is holding a Pitchapalooza event and I entered it! I’m pretty excited about it, even though I highly doubt that mine will get chosen. I thought I would share mine, so here it is.

How was your February? Did you read any good books?
