November Wrap-Up | the end of the year is approaching fast

I literally forgot that wrap-ups were a thing. I was thinking about what post to put out today and I realized on Saturday that I hadn’t started a wrap-up post for November. Luckily, I was able to get this done on time. One more month until 2023! BOOKS READ The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh|πŸ“–|β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…This has those Spirited Away vibes, as it was pitched. The worldbuilding and relationships were my favorite part of the story. Mina and the trio were amazing, as well as Mina with Mask, Dai, and Miki. Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman|πŸ“–|β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…I’m not sure what I was expecting with these stories, but it…

    Making a TBR Jar

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Happy late Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates. I hope you had a great holiday. Today I have a bit different post: I’m showing you how I made my TBR jar. I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a while. I started making it a few months ago, but then got busy. So I took advantage of some free time and was able to finish it! I didn’t have an actual jar and I didn’t want to go buy one, so I ended up using an empty ice cream container. Talenti is one of my favorite ice cream brands, especially because…

Photos From the Past Few Months

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am finally on Thanksgiving break, which I am very grateful for. It feels like my teachers crammed us with work before the break; I had three separate essays to work on in the past week. It was a lot. I haven’t shared any photography in a few months, but I’ve been doing a lot of it. I’m taking a photography class for an elective this year and it’s been fun! I’m learning how to use my camera, the aspects of photography, and proper technique. Anyways, today I’ll be sharing some photos I’ve taken in the past few months/year. (One of them…

    Author Spotlight: Tamora Pierce

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m starting a new kind of post today: an author spotlight! I got this idea from Jordyn @ Birdie’s Book Nook who started doing this a little while ago. I wanted to promote some underrepresented authors and I thought this was a great way to do it. Our first author is Tamora Pierce! I read a lot of her books when I was younger and always enjoyed the strong, female protagonists she created. In this post, I’ll be talking about the books by her that I’ve read and why I enjoyed them! Tamora Pierce Genres: YA fantasyBooks Read: 10, but she’s written…

My Favorite Books as a Child | Part 1

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. In my 16 Books for my 16th Birthday post, I said I was going to do a post on books I read when I was really young, before I started elementary school. Well, here it is! These are all picture books that I repeatedly loved reading when I was around the ages of 3-5. They were all read to me, but I eventually learned to read them myself. The Seven Chinese Sisters by Kathy Tucker This was a book that was on repeat all the time. I loved how each sister had a different talent and they all worked together to save…

October Wrap-Up | Concert, College, and Costume

It does not feel like it’s been a year since my last October wrap-up. I started writing this post and it hit me that it’s already been a year since the last one. I distinctly remember writing my October wrap-up for 2021. It was my first post after my hiatus and it was really long because I did two months for it. Time flies way too fast. BOOKS READ The Sunbearer Trials (The Sunbearer Duology #1) by Aiden Thomas|πŸ“–|β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜….5|my reviewThe Mexican-inspired world, the high stakes of the trials, the amazing characters and representation all combined to make a fantastic book. This is definitely my favorite book by Aiden Thomas! Gallant…
