Top Ten Tuesday: Book Titles That Sound Like Crayola Crayon Colors

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re doing well. I haven’t posted in a week, but that’s because I was camping with my family in a place without Wi-Fi, so I couldn’t do anything. Anyways, I’m excited for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, so let’s get into it.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Book Titles That Sound Like They Could be Crayola Crayon Colors.

The Starless Sea ~ Erin Morgenstern

I wouldn’t use ‘the’ in the color name, but I envision the color ‘Starless Sea’ to be a really dark blue, almost black. It would be like the ocean waters you see in the movies when there’s a huge thunderstorm at night and the waves are being tossed all over the place.

Under a Painted Sky ~ Stacey Lee

This color would be so pretty. I feel like it would be a mixture of some orange and pink, like sunset colors. I don’t think a crayon color could be blue, purple, and orange like the cover of the book is, but a sunset/sunrise color would be really pretty.

White Bird ~ R.J. Palacio

I think this would be a white, obviously, but not bright white. Something softer, like a white mixed slightly with cream color. I don’t really know what I’m envisioning but something like that.

Greenglass House ~ Kate Milford

This would be a green (obviously) and I think it would be lighter green, with a slight transparent look to it. That’s hard to do with a crayon color but colored glass always has that slight transparency to it.

Hattie Big Sky ~ Kirby Larson

This would be a blue, and I envision it as a deep sky blue, like on a day where there’s no clouds in the sky and it’s just a clear sky.

Wild Magic ~ Tamora Pierce

I imagine that this would be a green because when I think of wild, I think of wild environments, like jungles and forests. This green would be more of an electric green, trying to get that magical sense to it.

Fire ~ Kristin Cashore

Obviously, this would be fiery. A redish-orange. It would be very loud and bright, like a burning fire.

Bitterblue ~ Kristin Cashore

I think this would be an electric blue—a bright and loud one, that really stands out.

How Much of These Hills Is Gold ~ C Pam Zhang

This would be a gold color, like a gold mixed with some orange or brown.

Black Beauty ~ Anna Sewell

This would be a black, but it would have kind of shiny sheen to it. Maybe like a silvery-black, it just seems that the ‘beauty’ part of it needs to make it more a fancy-like black.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What book titles sound like they could be crayon colors to you?
