    Give a Book Tag

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m doing another book tag, the Give a Book Tag. I found out about this tag from Aster Marie @ Happy Bookish After, who did it a while ago, and immediately liked the concept of it. The tag was originally created by Katherine Zofrea on YouTube. While the giving season is usually thought of as the holidays, it’s never bad to be in the habit of giving. Let’s get into it! Give a book to make someone smile The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune will fill your heart with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s about Linus, who…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Do Book Titles Matter?

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am very, very excited about some bookish things, mainly the fact that Rick Riordan is releasing two books in 2023! He’s writing a novel for Nico di Angelo, The Sun and the Star, and a novel for the original PJO trio that takes place after The Heroes of Olympus, called The Chalice of the Gods. I need to reread the PJO series and The Trials of Apollo, so I can remember everything. Maybe I’ll do a binge read over winter break. Moving on to today’s post! I am pretty sure this is the latest I have ever posted an LTB discussion.…

The “How Well Do I Know my Books?” Tag

Yes, this is another tag that I was not tagged for. I’m known to do that. A lot. But this one looked like way too much fun for me to not do it. This tag took me a long time to do, which is why I didn’t get a post out on Friday. But I was able to finish it yesterday. I found out about this from Amber @ The Literary Phoenix, who did it recently. It was originally created by Jesse the Reader. This tag is a bit complicated to explain, but I’ll try my best. There are 28 questions and each one has to be answered with a…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books With my Favorite Tropes

In my year and two months of blogging, I have come to discover some tropes that I absolutely love. And that is what we will be looking at today. I broke this list off into a few different tropes and gave some recommendations for each. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Books With Your Favorite Trope/Theme. FOUND FAMILY “Family members can be your best friends, you know. And best friends, whether or not they are related to you, can be your family.” – Trenton Lee Stewart, The…

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m a bit late with this post, seeing that it’s already over halfway through February, but I still thought it was a good topic to bring up. In the US, February is Black History Month! It is celebrated to commemorate the legacies and the struggles of African Americans throughout US history. So, I present to you 13 books written by black authors. I’ve read about half of these, the other half are on my TBR. You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson Ahh, this book was so entertaining. Liz was an amazing protagonist, with a well-written character arc. She…

My Favorite Quotes From Books | aka things characters said that pull at my heartstrings

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Sorry for not posting yesterday, none of my posts were close to being done because school got in the way of everything. But then I got a great idea for a different post and immediately started working on it. I was talking to a family friend the other day and she was looking for quotes on happiness. I will admit, the majority of quotes I note down aren’t exactly happy. They’re either very sad or very deep and emotional, often centering around a theme of the book. That conversation gave me the idea for this post! I will be listing some of…

    My Favorite Reads of 2021

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I am talking about my favorite books that I read in 2021. And to make it harder on myself, I ranked them; we’ll be going in reverse order, starting with number ten! #10: Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales “I was with them and they were with me and we were with each other. A community within a community within a community. No questions asked. No proof…

The Mysterious Benedict Society Book Tag (Original!)

When I found out that the Mysterious Benedict Society series was getting a TV show, I was very excited. I’m sad the first season only has eight episodes, but they’re all done very well, so I’m not complaining. So, in (very late) honor of the Mysterious Benedict Society book series TV show getting released on Disney+, I decided to make a tag surrounding it! I was honestly a little nervous to post this, because I’ve never made a tag before and I don’t want to mess anything up, but I figured that it would be really fun to share with you all, so I gave it a go. A few…
