16 Middle Grade Books for AAPI Month

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Canva is acting a bit strange for me at the moment, and downloading my featured images smaller than they’re supposed to. It’s quite obvious on my homepage, where a few of them are smaller than the others, and I’m not sure how exactly I’m supposed to fix it. The smaller ones also look slightly blurry. Anyways, enough of me babbling about technology problems. As I’m sure you all know, May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. I did a recommendations post like this last year, but I noticed most of them were YA books. I’ve read even more YA books…

The Benefits of Reading | Why I Love to Read and What I Learn From It

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post was inspired by another post I wrote, an LTB post about book addicts vs. book lovers. One of the questions was “what are the merits of being one or the other?” and it got me thinking about all the merits of reading. In this post, I’ll be talking about why I love to read and what the benefits of reading are–what I get out of it and why it’s helpful. It’s fun Wow, what an obvious way to start. Yeah, I know. The Mysterious Benedict Society Book Tag (Original!)

When I found out that the Mysterious Benedict Society series was getting a TV show, I was very excited. I’m sad the first season only has eight episodes, but they’re all done very well, so I’m not complaining. So, in (very late) honor of the Mysterious Benedict Society book series TV show getting released on Disney+, I decided to make a tag surrounding it! A few…

6 Worthy Audiobooks to Listen To

For all you audiobook lovers out there, this is the post for you! I’m sure everyone hates that time when you start an audiobook but the narrator ruins the story for you by having an annoying voice or continuously mispronouncing a certain word. Whatever the case, I’ve had it happen and I’m sure you have too. (Wow, it sounds like I’m giving an infomercial.) Anyways, today I have a list of audiobooks that are totally worth listening too. I thought they were great for whatever reason, that I’ll talk about for each. So. . . yeah, I don’t need to drag this introduction out any further. I take that back.…

8 Overlooked Books I Think Everyone Should Read

Hello, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I have a list of books I think everyone should read. Some of these books are aimed at younger kids, around middle grade (or even younger), but they have strong and powerful meanings behind them. They’re good lessons for anyone, regardless of age. Now, these books aren’t necessarily underrated or not popular (though some of them are) but I think they’re not as appreciated for the lessons they can teach people. They’re overlooked in that aspect. So without further ado, let’s get started! The Missing Piece of Charlie O’Reilly ~ Rebecca K.S. Ansari For a book published nearly two years ago,…
