    Let’s Talk Bookish: Reading Goals

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m sorry that I’ve been a bit spotty these past few weeks; school has been busy and I’m also applying for summer programs, which all have extensive applications. I meant to do an LTB post last week, but I never got to finish it, so I’ll probably post it at a later date as a non-LTB post. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Are Reading Goals Worth It? (suggested by Aria). Prompts: We’re two months…

Review: The Ones We Burn by Rebecca Mix

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. The review for today is going to be a little bit different than most. The Ones We Burn by Rebecca Mix has a lot of controversy on Goodreads. It’s been accused of being a reverse racism story and being antisemitic. This review is going to be less of “what I liked vs. what I disliked” and more of a discussion stating my opinion on the controversy. Title: The Ones We BurnAuthor: Rebecca MixGenre: YA Fantasy RomanceSeries: NonePage Count: 462 (hardcover) Monster. Butcher. Bloodwinn. Ranka is tired of death. All she wants now is to be left alone, living out her days in…

    Give a Book Tag

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m doing another book tag, the Give a Book Tag. I found out about this tag from Aster Marie @ Happy Bookish After, who did it a while ago, and immediately liked the concept of it. The tag was originally created by Katherine Zofrea on YouTube. While the giving season is usually thought of as the holidays, it’s never bad to be in the habit of giving. Let’s get into it! Give a book to make someone smile The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune will fill your heart with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s about Linus, who…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Do You Read Reviews and Spoilers Before or After?

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. This is my first LTB post of the year and I anticipate many more in the coming months. This was my highest category for posts last year, so I’m curious to find if that happens this year too. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Do You Read Reviews and Spoilers Before or After? (suggested by Jillian @ Jillian the Bookish Butterfly). Prompts: Do you like looking at reviews for books before you read them? Is reading reviews important to…

January Wrap-Up | a cold and wet start to the year

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Sorry for missing Friday; I didn’t have any posts completed and I had an evening event for school that I had to attend, so I didn’t get to finish anything. Today I have my wrap-up for January. It was a very cold and rainy month, made more unpleasant because my house doesn’t have heat at the moment. We haven’t had heat or AC since May 2022. It was a very cold winter. But, we should finally be getting our heat back sometime next week. Fingers crossed it actually happens. Also, we reached 200 followers!! Thank you to everyone who supports and has…
