    2022 Pride Month TBR

Happy almost Pride Month, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Like last year, I am planning on reading books with LGBTQ+ rep in June. As a person with a family member who is transgender, support for the LGBTQ+ community is important to me. I’m setting my TBR lower this year, so hopefully I can get through all of them. Heartstopper: Volume Three and Volume Four by Alice Oseman I finished the second volume a little while ago and I can’t wait to read the rest of them. Charlie and Nick are so perfect together. I am an adamant “book before movie/TV show” person, so I had to read the…

    Let’s Talk Bookish: Tracking Reading

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I have three days left of school, all of them finals, so that’s exciting and hard to believe. This school year went by way too quickly, and I will officially be an upperclassman starting in August. But now, onto today’s post! Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Tracking Reading (suggested by Aria). Do you keep track of the books you read? Yes! I started doing it a few weeks after I began blogging. Since I…

Reacting to Poor Reviews of Books I Love

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I have been trying to finish the incomplete posts that are sitting in my drafts folder and this is the one that I was able to write. Today’s post is a bit different than most, but I saw Riddhi @ Whispering Stories do this a while ago and it looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to do my own version. I will be reacting, or responding, to poor reviews of books I love. Disclaimers: I am not trying to spread hate–everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that. This is just for fun, I do not…

Pretty Deadly Words #1 | A Look into my Writing Life

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I meant to post on Friday, but my site decided to give me some problems and I had to get it fixed. Thankfully, it is working again. I was worried it would take longer. I am very excited for today’s post because I am going to start participating in a new meme that just got launched a few weeks ago. This will focus more on my writing, so if you’ve wanted to know more about that, here it is! Pretty Deadly Words is a monthly meme for writers, co-hosted by Ash @ Ink Words and Ash and Anoushka @ Dipped in Ink.…

16 Middle Grade Books for AAPI Month

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Canva is acting a bit strange for me at the moment, and downloading my featured images smaller than they’re supposed to. It’s quite obvious on my homepage, where a few of them are smaller than the others, and I’m not sure how exactly I’m supposed to fix it. The smaller ones also look slightly blurry. Anyways, enough of me babbling about technology problems. As I’m sure you all know, May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. I did a recommendations post like this last year, but I noticed most of them were YA books. I’ve read even more YA books…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Buying and Borrowing Books

I am so excited! The trio for the PJO TV show has been announced and I am in love with them already. I have not seen any of the actors in other films, but I have a feeling that they will be amazing in their roles. I also love the diversity in the actors. Rick Riordan said earlier that he’s not focused on what the actors look like, he’s focusing on whether they can play the character. I’m so glad he said that. Today’s post is an LTB post that is a day late. I have not posted in a week but the end of the year is coming up…
