Let’s Talk Bookish: The Difference Between Book Addicts and Book Lovers

It has been two months since I’ve written a discussion and I am very excited to get back into them. When I first read this topic, I instantly knew that it would be interesting to hear other people’s opinions. So of course, I knew I should share my own. Let’s Talk Bookish a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and is hosted by Rukky and Dani @ Literary Lion where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is The Difference Between Book Addicts and Book Lovers (suggested by Jillian @ Jillian the Bookish Butterfly). First of all, how do you define a book addict and…

Flowers of Spring | it’s way too early for them to be blooming

Wow, can you believe it? Another photography post that’s actually in the next month. I surprised myself too. I went on a hike yesterday and took a bunch of photos of the flowers that I saw. Spring has come way too early. Most of these flowers are supposed to bloom in March and April, and yet here we are, in February. I identified all of the ones I got photos of, so their name will be captioned underneath each image. In case any of you are wondering, all of these photos were taken on my phone, a very old, Samsung Galaxy S8. I hope you enjoyed all these photos! I…

13 Books By Black Authors | Honoring Black History Month

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m a bit late with this post, seeing that it’s already over halfway through February, but I still thought it was a good topic to bring up. In the US, February is Black History Month! It is celebrated to commemorate the legacies and the struggles of African Americans throughout US history. So, I present to you 13 books written by black authors. I’ve read about half of these, the other half are on my TBR. You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson Ahh, this book was so entertaining. Liz was an amazing protagonist, with a well-written character arc. She…

    The Chapters and Melodies Tag

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I didn’t mean to disappear for a week, but my schedule has been very busy. Ever since I started that youth mentoring program, I’ve had something happening after school every day, causing me to push off doing homework until the evening and not be able to work on my posts. I was up until 9:00 pm the other day finishing a history assignment. I’ve been doing quite a few tags recently, which might not be the most exciting thing to read, but I had a lot of fun doing this one. Today we’re combing two of my favorite things: reading and music!…

    January Wrap-Up | We’re Already a Month into 2022?

January is already over?! How? It literally just started. I refuse to believe that we are already into the month of February. But, we are, so I guess I’ll just have to accept it. For those who celebrate it, happy Lunar New Year! Today marks the first day of the celebration, as well as the first day of the Year of the Tiger. Let’s hope this year is better than the last two. BOOKS READ The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1) by R.F. Kuang|📖|★★★★.5I can’t believe I waited so long to read this. I absolutely loved this. The writing, the characters, the worldbuilding. The history and government was so…
