Top Ten Tuesday: Books Guaranteed to Put a Smile On Your Face

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s posts is sure to be a happy one. (I hope!) If you’re in need of a book that will make you laugh, keep reading!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Books Guaranteed to Put a Smile on Your Face.

Pie in the Sky by Remy Lai
This book is so sweet and there are a lot of funny moments in it. The illustrations make it even better and I love how any English Jingwen doesn’t understand is drawn as symbols, as if it were from an alien language.

Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales
Anyone who’s read this book knows that there is no possible way to read this book without laughing at least five times. The banter between Darcy and Brougham is what makes Perfect on Paper such a fun read; both characters have loads of sass and are not hesitant to shoot back witty remarks at each other.

Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett
This book is especially fun to listen to on audiobook. The narration and dialogue of the feegles is hilarious and those six-inch tall men are part of the what make the book so fun.

All’s Fair in Middle School by Victoria Jamieson
I don’t read too many graphic novels, but I really enjoyed All’s Faire in Middle School. Also, the fact that the title is a play on words is amazing.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
How can I not add this book on a list of books that would make you smile? This book has so many iconic lines and the characters are hilarious as well.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Aristotle and Dante #1) by Benjamin Alire Saenz
I love the dialogue between the characters in this book, as well as the relationships between them. It’s so relaxed and funny, with plenty of laughable scenes.

The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody
While this book does focus on some serious topics, it also has some lighthearted and funny moments shared between the characters. Two of the side characters, Siri and Jimmy, were especially a comical duo.

Nevermoor Series by Jessica Townsend
I’ve mentioned this a lot, but there are some hilarious characters in the Nevermoor series, namely Jupiter, Fenestra, and Frank. Though the book starts off pretty sad and we don’t meet these characters until later, it’s totally worth it.

The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler
This was a sweet and enjoyable read with fun characters and a bit of rivalry. Oh, and of course, there’s also cupcakes.

Until Tomorrow, Mr. Marsworth by Shelia O’Connor
I read this book when I was younger and I remember really enjoying it. It was a bit slow paced but I loved the format of telling the story through letters and the relationship that Reenie and Mr. Marsworth create.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you some books that put a smile on your face?
