The Feelings Book Tag + The Winter Wonderland Tag

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m doing a few tags I recently got tagged for. The first one is the Feelings Book Tag and I was tagged by Rania @ Rania’s Rambling Reads!

The Rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and give a link to the blog.
  • Answer the 5 feelings given to you.
  • Write the reason in 5 to 6 lines of why does that particular book come under that feeling.
  • Nominate between 5-12 other bloggers.
  • Give your nominees 5 feelings too.
  • Notify your nominees once you’ve uploaded your post.

A Book That You Had To Stop Reading Because You Got Second-Hand Embarrassment

I can’t think of a book to fit this prompt. I’m sure that there’s a book that gave me some second-hand embarrassment and/or made me cringe at something, but my brain isn’t working right now I’m striking out on that.

A Book That Gave You Butterflies

A Vow So Bold and Deadly (Cursebreakers #3) by Brigid Kemmerer

I don’t know if I’d say this book gave me butterflies, per se, but I was nervous to read this. I was both excited and a little apprehensive about what would happen in the last book of this trilogy. All in all, I ended up enjoying this, which I am very glad about.

A Book With a Ship You Will Support Till the Day You Die

Percabeth from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

I didn’t know who else to say for this prompt, so I took the easy way and said Percy and Annabeth. Best underwater kiss of all time.

A Book You Knew You Would Love After Reading the First Chapter

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

I’ve only read the prologue so far, but that still counts, right? That five page introduction was so captivating, and I can’t wait to read the rest of it.

A Book You Knew You Would Hate But Read it Anyways

I don’t think I’ve ever done this. I don’t usually read books I know I’m going to hate, because I have so many books I hope I’ll like that I need to read instead.

I Tag:

My Prompts:

  • A book with a character you have a love-hate relationship with
  • A book that totally changed your perspective on something
  • A book that blew your mind by how good it was
  • A book you are desperate to read as soon as possible
  • A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving

The Winter Wonderland Tag

A perfect time to do this tag, don’t you think? In the middle of summer. Thank you to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for tagging me!

What book is so happy and so sweet that it just warms your heart?

Pie in the Sky by Remi Lai

This book was so heartwarming. I loved the plot of it, with Jingwen and Yanghao trying to make all the cakes from their father’s was-to-be-created bakery. Pie in the Sky had a lot of funny moments, especially with Jingwen trying to learn English. This book had illustrations along with the regular chapters, so it was kind of like two-thirds chapter book and one-third graphic-novel-esque.

What’s your favorite book with a white cover?

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

You’re sitting in a nice, comfortable chair with a cup of hot chocolate. What monster book are you reading?

The Once and Future King by T.H. White

I’m going to take ‘monster’ as size, so I’m choosing The Once and Future King for this. It has about 640 pages in it, and it took me a while to get through since the text was kind of small as well. I really enjoyed reading about King Arthur in this story.

It’s snowing outside and you decide you want to have a snowball fight. What fictional character do you want to have this snowball fight with?

Alexander Brougham from Perfect on Paper

I feel like it would be so much fun to have a snowball with him, with all his witty and sassy remarks.

Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter

These two would be a great pair. They’re pranksters and I’m sure they would think of something hilarious to do during a snowball fight.

Sadly, your campfire is dying. What last few chapters of a book would you throw in the fire to revive it and keep yourself warm?

I’m sorry, I am not going to burn a book to keep myself warm. It’s not happening. But, if I had to do it to safe my life, I would probably choose. . . well, I don’t know, so we’re going to skip this question.

What book do you love so much that you would buy another copy of it to give to someone as a Christmas gift (or any gift really) to inspire them to start reading?

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

I’d definetely choose Percy Jackson for this. It’s easy to get into since the action starts right off the bat, it’s funny, and it’s not a very challenging read. I know for me at least, whenever I’d get a Rick Riordan book, my friends and I would sometimes just read the table of contents for fun because the chapter names were so funny or ridiculous. I mean, come on? Who wouldn’t want to read a book that has the first chapter labeled as “I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher”?

Who do you tag?

Who would you want to have a snowball fight with? What ship will you support until the day you die?
