Tell me something about this world that you admire.

Nature, and everything about it. The trees, the mountains, the rivers, the forests. There’s so much in the wilderness to see and explore. And beyond Earth too. Outer space is amazing and there are a bajilion undiscovered things that we have yet to understand.

Also, as Jenna said, books. I don’t know what I’d do without them, they’re a constant thing in my life. I don’t think I’d be able to live without them.

What is your favourite form of creativity?

Writing, most definetely. There’s something about it that gives me a way to express what I’m feeling even if I don’t know what I’m feeling myself. I’ve always loved writing; it comes to me naturally.

I also love music as a form of creativity. It’s a way to express emotions without having to talk. I feel like it’s a universal language, something that everyone can understand.

Share something you created. (can be anything!)

This is a cake that I made last summer. It’s a four layer, chocolate mousse cake with raspberries on each layer. It took me almost all day. I started at around noonish and I was making mousse when the sun had gone down. It was sooooo good, though. It’s definetely a rich cake, one piece was plenty to eat at a time. (Though not that I could’ve eaten more.)

RANIA’S QUESTIONS

Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what is it?

I guess I have one. . . so you know how people can curl their tongues upward into a tube? Well, I can do it the opposite way. I don’t know how I do it, it just kind of comes naturally. It’s slightly odd, in my opinion, but. . . I can do it. Oh and I can also wiggle my ears. I’m not sure that’s a hidden talent, though.

If you could change the ending of any book, which one would it be?

Quite a few. Bridge to Terabithia, When You Reach Me, The Fault in our Stars. Wow, there’s kind of a trend going here with book endings. (If you’ve read all these books, you’ll know what I mean.)

What’s your favorite word?

I don’t think I have one.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I’m definitely more on the introvert side, but I’m a bit of an ambivert as well. With people I know really well, I’m more outgoing and kind of crazy, but with new people, I’m really shy.

JENNA’S QUESTIONS

Do you have any other hobbies or interests other than reading?

Yes, I do! I enjoy writing, photography, playing the violin and ukulele, exploring the great outdoors, baking, and skiing.

What, in your opinion, is the most important thing in the universe (I don’t mean “the most important thing to you”. I mean the most important thing in the universe – in the general sense. Something without which the universe couldn’t exist or would be really, really different from what it is today)?

Well, I would say oxygen, but I think that’s a little too obvious. So I’m going to say plants. Without plants in our world, there would be no oxygen. And without oxygen, life would not be able to function. So, the entire earth couldn’t and wouldn’t exist.

One character you love so much that you’d do anything for them?

Um, I don’t really know. There are a lot of characters I love but I’m not sure I’d do anything for them.

Your happiest memory? (Just in case you ever need to create a Patronus)

I have to choose one? That’s going to be a little difficult. Okay, let’s see. . . Well, this isn’t my favorite memory, but it’s a pretty good one. I went to a summer camp about a year and a half ago (pre COVID, of course) and one day we had ‘Color Wars’. It’s basically where the counselors got buckets of paint and everyone just throws and flings and tosses paint everywhere. It was really fun and really funny. I got paint all over my glasses, so I couldn’t see for a while. And then afterwards, my group all had our time at the lake, and there was this big water slide that was so fun to go down. I had a lot of fun there. So, maybe that will be enough to create a patronus. (Hopefully.)

I Nominate:

My Questions:

  1. If you could travel to any place in the world, and live there for a period of time, where would you go?
  2. What is the book you’re most excited to read next?
  3. Would you rather be able to play every instrument or speak every language?
  4. What time of day do you like best and why?

How’s your week going? Do you have a favorite word?
